PROCTOR FUTBOL CLUB
Competitive Soccer
Proctor FC is rebranding the Summer 2026 season from Rec Plus to Competitive.
In line with other local Clubs, we are shifting to an assessment-based competitive format.
This means that players will register online as usual, then attend their appropriate age level assessment on October 19th, 2025 at the Rails Indoor Turf facility.

Our eventual goal is to be able to field A and B teams for each age level. In an effort to maximize playing time for players, we will cap rosters at the AYSA recommended number, rather than the maximum allowed number. After assessments, players will be offered a spot on the A or B team for their age. In the event that we cannot fill out a full B team, a full refund will be provided to the players on the B roster.
Key Dates
Registration Open:

Schedule
A Schedule:
These teams will be registered into the AYSA NL 1 competitive league (4-5 league games), as well as two local tournaments. Additional tournaments, including travel, can be added for an additional fee depending on team and coach preference.
B Schedule:
These teams will be registered into AYSA NL 2 recreational league (8-10 league games), as well as the local Hermantown Jamboree.
The general competitive schedule is then as follows:
-
January and February: optional weekly skills sessions for a one-time $25 fee through community ed.
-
March and April: team practices begin indoors, in Proctor area gyms or occasionally at the Indoor turf (1-2 per week)
-
May and June: outdoor practices; league and tournament play
What about U16?
Note: there is NO local league for U16+ players. Any teams at this age level would be tournament-only teams, with practices during the week and two tournaments (more available upon team/coach preference)
Player Fees
U10: $175
U12: $200
U14/15: $225
U19: $225
Coaching
We make every effort to find experienced, reliable coaches for these teams; our coaches have played high school soccer at a minimum, with special consideration given to those with collegiate playing or varsity coaching experience. Finding reliable, motivated coaches is always difficult, and we highly encourage those with experience to volunteer! We do offer a stipend.

Play Time
We hope that roster caps and assessments work to place all players at the appropriate skill level to allow for optimal play time. We will continue to instruct coaches to abide by AYSA play time rules: all players must play at least 50% of the game in league play, with no minimum play time rules for tournament play.
Skill Levels
We highly encourage players at all skill levels to register for this season. We are working to balance competitiveness with inclusion for the summer season, and that balance works best when we have a large pool of players to group into appropriate skill levels.
